Sweet Songs Album for Milk Bank

Organized by Hideout Studios

Why We're Fundraising
The artists contributing music to the Sweet Songs album determined early on that we wanted to donate our profits to a Mother-Child focused charity and we selected our local Milk Bank. We will give 100% of our CD sale profits to the Mothers' Milk Bank at Austin.

And making a record is expensive business. All of our production, manufacturing and marketing costs will total approximately $23,000. With huge gratitude, we are accepting donations both small and large from individuals and businesses.

For donations of $25 or more, we will send a copy of our CD which will sell for $15. For donations of $100 or more, we will send a CD plus 2 free guest passes to our Mother's Day CD Release event.

Businesses that would like sponsorship advertising exposure on our CD liner notes and web site, we must hear from you by April 7 to be included on the liner notes. Sponsors can join our project at any time and still gain the web site advertising benefit.

We anticipate hundreds of families visiting our web site following the press coverage we receive in May and beyond.

What the Sweet Songs Album is About
The Sweet Songs album is an eclectic collection of children's music that appeals to adults and children alike. The music was recorded at Hideout Studios and is due for release May 2010. The contributing women singer-songwriters are all friends of mine - most of us are mothers, all of us love children.

We have been creatively guided by Austin's own beloved and prolific Sara Hickman as our producer.

All profits from the album go to the Mothers' Milk Bank at Austin.

We are: Monica Cravotta, Libby Kirkpatrick, Sarah Sharp, Mary Londos, Gretchen Janzow, Elizabeth McQueen and Elizabeth Suggs.

We have come together to make music for children, to build community, and to raise awareness about the benefits of breastfeeding and the need for donated human milk to save premature and sick infants' lives.

Families, please mark your calendar for Mother's Day, Sunday, May 9, and join us for brunch and a live performance of our Sweet Songs music at Austin' Big Red Sun from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm. Tickets will go on sale at our austinsweetsongs web site in mid-April.

Thank you so much for your support!
